People sometimes ask me, when do you stop painting, when is a painting 'finished'? My reply always is: I hear a voice in my head saying 'finished'. I will check before this moment, and after, if it's really so. But most of the times I will trust that voice, and stop! It has happened that I don't listen, and the painting can get to be overworked, or that I loose 'the magic'. Stopping, finishing, is a personal choice, and always should be. Don't listen to people walking by, telling you that the canvas should be filled up more, or that drippings should be taken away. Don't listen when the say it's great, when you just had put 5 lines down, don't listen when they say to each other that the painting is yet to be continued, when in your head it's obviously done. Happy painting! Trust your own judgement. Buffer
